Eat My Blog Charity Bake Sale
Divas, I just want to extend a heartfelt thanks to everyone who showed up yesterday to support Eat My Blog, the charity bake sale to benefit the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank! I baked and donated my famous Bacon Brownies with Bourbon Caramel Sauce, and I'm beyond thrilled to report that they sold out first thing in the morning. Kuzak escorted me to the event yesterday, and we loaded up on a bunch of great treats, including Organic Spark's Maple Walnut Cake and My Last Bite's Bacon Wrapped Breadsticks, both totally delicious!
As of this morning, the results are in - we raised over $3000 for the food bank! Holy cow! I mean, Holy pork belly! That's going to help feed a lot of needy people this winter. We're already planning another bake sale for Summer 2010, so stay tuned! I'll just have to make twice as many Bacon Brownies for next time!
Also, one last thing! A huge thank you is in order for Cathy from Gastronomy for coming up with the idea and organizing the event! She did a tremendous job!
