Red Velvet Pancakes with Cream Cheese Frosting |
Not much, in my book!
The party was hosted by Chef Jodi of The Griddle Cafe, a/k/a the queen of all breakfast. We feasted on her Banana Nana pancakes, huge buttermilk discs made with brown-sugar baked bananas and paired with Nut-Up Java Monster, her signature Red Velvet Pancakes with cream cheese icing (rumor has it, a pancake mix is coming soon), and my all time favorite, Mom's French Toast.

About The Griddle Cafe
Jodi is a self-trained chef who is the founder and CEO of one of the top breakfast restaurants in Los Angeles in the Hollywood area, The Griddle Café. Griddle Café serves only breakfast and lunch, and is packed from the moment they open. Specialties of the restaurant are indulgent pancakes and creative egg dishes like the Baked Potato Omelette, Kicking and Screaming Breakfast Tacos, Red Velvet Pancakes with cream cheese icing, Scotch on the Rocks Pancakes, and Peanut Bubba Crunchy French Toast. As Metromix Los Angeles said, "Breakfast doesn't get any more decadent than the Griddle Café."
This is so one of my favorite places in LA. I take people there whenever I have visitors. The lines are a little ridiculous but people forget about that as soon as they have some of the Recess Time pancakes. LOVE it there.
ReplyDeleteThanks!!! I dig it, too. :)
ReplyDeletei was just about to blog about this place. the red velvet pancakes were delicious but a killer. couldn't finish it!
ReplyDeleteOh, it's a fun spot to blog about! The Red Velvet pancakes are great, but you're right--nobody can finish them! She also sells a pancake mix. You can make smaller ones at home.
