The Griddle Cafe: Breakfast For Dinner

Red Velvet Pancakes with Cream Cheese Frosting
Is there anything better than breakfast for dinner?

Not much, in my book!

So when I was invited to The Griddle Cafe, one of the top breakfast restaurants in Hollywood, for a decadent dinner of pancakes, french toast, and waffles, I jumped at the opportunity. Even better, all the entrees were paired with Java Monster coffee energy drinks.

The party was hosted by Chef Jodi of The Griddle Cafe, a/k/a the queen of all breakfast. We feasted on her Banana Nana pancakes, huge buttermilk discs made with brown-sugar baked bananas and paired with Nut-Up Java Monster, her signature Red Velvet Pancakes with cream cheese icing (rumor has it, a pancake mix is coming soon), and my all time favorite, Mom's French Toast.

I left the party wired from the fabulous time -- and possibly from all the coffee + energy drinks I consumed. Thanks to Chef Jodi and everyone at The Griddle Cafe for inviting me, stimulating my imagination, and satiating my appetite!

As Metromix Los Angeles said, "Breakfast doesn't get any more decadent than the Griddle Café."

  1. This is so one of my favorite places in LA. I take people there whenever I have visitors. The lines are a little ridiculous but people forget about that as soon as they have some of the Recess Time pancakes. LOVE it there.

  3. Oh, it's a fun spot to blog about! The Red Velvet pancakes are great, but you're right--nobody can finish them! She also sells a pancake mix. You can make smaller ones at home.
